Ontario - Apply for Pesticide Selling as a Retail Vendor Registration

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Pesticide selling as a Retail Vendor Registration in person, the applicant has to visit the nearest Regional office of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
  2. Address links of the offices can be found in the following Contact link
  3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Pesticides Vendor License from the relevant department.
  4. Make sure that all the documents in the “Required Documents” section of this page are available.
  5. Complete the application as per convenience, attest it with signature and attach the required documents with the application form.
  6. Then, submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office. Fees details can be found in the “Fees Details” section of this page.
  7. Upon receipt of the application and all the required information, the Department will proceed to review and assess the submitted information.
  8. On completion of the review, the office will inform the applicant through phone number or email to collect the registration certificate.


Apply online

  1. To apply for Pesticide selling as a Retail Vendor Registration online, the applicant has to visit the following Apply online
  2. If the applicant already has an account in the portal, they can just enter the user details in the fields provided and click “Sign In” button.
  3. Otherwise, they should click “Create Account” button to create a new account. In the next page, enter the email address and password in the fields provided, click the tick box and click “Create Account” button.
  4. The applicant will receive a verification email which they have to open and click “Activate Account” button. The applicant will be redirected into the signed in My Ontario Account.
  5. Under the “My Apps” section, click “Environmental Permissions” service and “PEP Enrolment” page will be opened.
  6. Complete the Enrolment by following the on screen instructions and by clicking the applicable button. After completing, the applicant should click the “Services” option from the left side menu.
  7. Then, click “Start New Application” button and click “Pesticide Licence” button in the next page. Click “Confirm” button.
  8. Application form page will be opened. The applicant has to complete it by following the on screen instructions and click applicable button.
  9. Also, upload the required documents and pay the required fees through credit card or debit (Visa, Mastercard or Interac Debit only).
  10. Upon receipt of the application and all the required information, the Department will proceed to review and assess the submitted information.
  11. On completion of the review, the office will email the application receipt confirmation and electronic copy of the Pesticide licence.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any Company or Corporation that is registered in Ontario and intends to distribute, sell or supply pesticides to an end-user can apply.



FeesEdit

The fee for a vendor license depends on the license type:

  • Limited class vendor license: $110
  • General class vendor license: $200
  • Treated Seed class vendor license: $200


Pay the application fee by credit card or debit (Visa, Mastercard or Interac Debit only)



ValidityEdit

  • The General and Limited class vendor licences are valid for 5 years from date of issue. The Treated Seed class vendor licence does not expire.
