- To Apply for a Gun or Firearm Licence, the applicant has to approach the Royal Canadian Mounted Police office, use the following Link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or download the application form from the following link
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the respective office mailing address.
- The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
- Also, the applicant has to complete the safety firearm course.
- The detailed fee amount is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the verification process gets completed, the applicant will get the firearm license through the mail or collect it from the office.
- The processing time for getting a firearm license takes up to 45 days.

- To Apply for a Gun Or Firearm Licence, the applicant has to use the following link
- The applicant has to click the “Get Started” button.
- The applicant has to select the type of sign-in option.
- If the applicant is selecting a “Sign in or create an account with GCkey” option.
- The applicant has to sign in with the user id and password and click the “Sign in” button.
- If the applicant is selecting a “Sign in with your bank” option.
- Followed by the applicant has to select the sign-in partner.
- Enter the card number and password and then click the “sign-on”
- Now the applicant has to select the “Firearm license” form from the list.
- Enter all the details in the application form.
- Also, upload the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- And pay the required amount of fee through online mode, check the fee details which are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
- After completing click the “Submit” button to end the application process.
