Apply by mail

  1. To Apply for a Gun or Firearm Licence, the applicant has to approach the Royal Canadian Mounted Police office, use the following Link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the respective office mailing address.
  7. The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
  8. Also, the applicant has to complete the safety firearm course.
  9. The detailed fee amount is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  13. Once the verification process gets completed, the applicant will get the firearm license through the mail or collect it from the office.
  14. The processing time for getting a firearm license takes up to 45 days.

  1. To Apply for a Gun Or Firearm Licence, the applicant has to use the following link
  2. The applicant has to click the “Get Started” button.
  3. The applicant has to select the type of sign-in option.
  4. If the applicant is selecting a “Sign in or create an account with GCkey” option.
  5. The applicant has to sign in with the user id and password and click the “Sign in” button.
  6. If the applicant is selecting a “Sign in with your bank” option.
  7. Followed by the applicant has to select the sign-in partner.
  8. Enter the card number and password and then click the “sign-on”
  9. Now the applicant has to select the “Firearm license” form from the list.
  10. Enter all the details in the application form.
  11. Also, upload the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  12. And pay the required amount of fee through online mode, check the fee details which are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  13. After completing click the “Submit” button to end the application process.
