Procedure

1. You can request for copies of a birth certificate in person at the Civil Registry Office. Make sure that you bring a valid identification in case the registry officer will need to verify your identity.
2. When you submit your request at the Registry Office make sure that you have provided these important details which will make searching for the record easier:
   1. name of spouses
   2. date and place of divorce
3. Pay for the certificate.

Instructions

A divorce certificate is issued by the Ministry of Justice. The civil register includes divorces involving Omani citizens and of expatriates residing in the Sultanate if one party is an Omani.
