Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach theMinistry of Agriculture & Fisheries, Plant Protection Department. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Application form to the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, Plant Protection Department.
3. Application form can be found on the following link: link, select “Permit to import Plant /Plant products”.
4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant shall present the duly filled application form and documentsto the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, Plant Protection Department.
7. The concerned departmentreviews the documents and inspects the shipment destined for export.
8. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

• The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
