Need for the DocumentEdit

A National Identification Card is an identity card that each citizen or resident in a country is issued and required to carry and display under certain circumstances.

The ID card that the Omani General Directorate of Civil Status issues depends on essential standards: technology of electronic transfer of the holders fingerprint and storing it on the electronic chip fitted on the card. This electronic chip consists of a micro-computer capable of storing and processing data. It contains the holders photo and his/her fingerprint.
