ProcedureEdit
- Identify the nearest RTO office from where you live. You find the RTO office locations under the links provided under heading "Office Locations and Contacts" of this page.
- Download Form 20 or can be obtained from the RTO office.
- Make sure you fill up the application form and also collect all the required documents that listed under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- Submit your filled in application form with required documents and appropriate fees in the RTO office.
- After validating the documents that you have submitted you will be provided with a Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC Book).

- Fill the application form in the above given site ,upload required proofs, take printout of the application form including Acknowledgement form and go to nearest RTO office before 11:30 a.m.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Filled up Application Form 20
- Sales certificate in Form 21 .
- Road worthiness certificate in Form 22 from the manufacturers.
- Body building certificate in Form -22A(From body builders)
- Valid Insurance Certificate.
- Proof of Address(Ration Card, Electricity Bill,.....).
- Design approval copy of STA in case Trailar or Semi Trailar.
- Original Sales Certificate from the concerned Authorities in Form 21 in the case of Ex_Army Vehicle.
- Pollution Under control Certificate.
- Customs Clearance Certificate in the case of Imported Vehicles.
- Appropriate Fee as specified in Rule 81 of CMV Rules.
- Temporary registration (if any)
- Tax as per APMVT(State Motor Vehicle Taxation) Act.
- The vehicle is to be produced before the Registering Authority for inspection at the time of registration.
- The application for registration is to be made within 7 days from the date of purchase of vehicle.

- Medium Passenger Motor Vehicle - Rs 400
- Heavy Goods Vehicle (Stage Carriers and lorries) - 1500 INR
- Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle - Rs 600
- Imported Motor Vehicle - Rs 800
- Imported Motor Cycle - Rs 200
