Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant will need to visit the nearest RMV customer service centre. find the nearest centre here Link
2. If the applicant wants certified copies of the document, they will need to contact the following numbers for further information: 1 800 898-7668 (toll free) or 902-424-5851
3. The applicant will need to complete an application form. Here is the link to download the application form: Link
4. If the applicant does not have an application form, they may provide a signed and dated letter containing their name, master number and reason for abstract.
5. Submit the application form at the office.
6. The applicant will need to pay a fee, find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The applicant will receive their uncertified driver’s license abstract on the same day after the fee payment.
