Order Online:

  1. To order your certificate you will need to log in to Altinn - Link.
  2. When you place your order you can also state if you need the certificate in english or multilingual version, if the certificate can be issued in other languages.
  3. Processing of your request will normally take three days. Note: Not including postal service.
  4. Your certificate will be sent by mail to the postal address recorded on the National Registry.

EligibilityEdit

The register printout may be ordered by the person named on the certificate.

You can only order a copy from the National Registry if it was them that issued the certificate and whether you met the conditions for entering into marriage. If you got married before 1 October 2004, the National Registry will not be able to process your request, and you must contact your wedding official to get a copy of your marriage certificate. Further, The National Registry can only issue a marriage certificate copy for marriages entered in accordance with Norwegian law.

For the newlyweds: You do not need to place an order for your certificate, it will be sent to you automatically after the National Registry have registered your marriage. But if you need another copy you can still request for one.
