Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Pet Passport in person, the applicant has to visit any licensed private or Government veterinarian in his/her locality.

3. You can contact the office of FMARD if you want to obtain any details regarding the veterinary officials.
4. Visit the office of the Veterinarian and let them know your intention of applying for a Pet Passport.
5. You will have to produce a set of documents which is required for the transportation of the pets. Refer the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Complete the application process by filling the relevant application format (if any) and submit it to the Veterinarian along with the required documents.
7. Pay the required application fees as directed, after which the application will be processed by the veterinary official.
8. He/she will verify and validate the application and attached documents for sufficiency.
9. If the submitted documents are found sufficient, the application will be approved and forwarded for the processing of the pet passport.
10. When the document is ready for issuance, the applicant will be intimated by the office to collect it by any applicable means.

Eligibility

• Any pet owner, who wishes to obtain passport for importing, exporting, or transporting his/her pet overseas, can apply.
• The pet that which the applicant wishes to transport must have undergone the relevant tests and possess corresponding test certificates.
