Apply In-Person:
- To obtain a Motor Vehicle Dealer General License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Board of Internal Revenue.

- Visit the office and obtain an application form for obtaining a Motor Vehicle Dealer General License from the relevant department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form with required details and information in respective fields under respective sections.
- Attach all the required documents with the application form and submit them to the Secretary of the Board.
- Pay the required amount of fees as directed. Then, the officials will proceed to perform the internal processes with respect to the applicant’s request.
- Initially, your attached documents and application form will be checked for sufficiency and appropriateness.
- Then, the Board will verify whether the Dealership site adheres to the relevant requirements and regulations.
- If found sufficient, further necessary tasks will be accomplished by the concerned officials for the issuance of license.
- Once all the tasks and processes are over, applicant will be intimated to collect the license through any applicable means.

- The certificate of registration will be issued in the name of the motor vehicle dealer and should be renewed yearly.
- The dealer is required to be displayed conspicuously a copy of the certificate in his place of business.
- The dealer should produce the certificate on demand by any authorized officer of the Agency.
- Each premises/showroom/office/stockyard/service centre should be licensed as separate agencies.

(a) Must have a permanent building that has a private office for the storage of documents

(c) All outdoor display area must be properly graded
(d) Must at least have one phone line for business purpose.
