Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Tax Concession on Tourism in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest office of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in his/her state of residence. The address and contact details can be found in the following link: address details
2. Make sure that you bring with you all the legal and business documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. Submit a letter requesting to get Tax Concession on Tourism to the relevant authority at the office.
4. After submission, your request letter along with the attached documents will be forwarded for further verifications.
5. Once all the internal processes are over, you will be notified through mail or call with further instructions to follow in order to become a beneficiary.

• 25% of income derived from tourists by hotels in convertible currencies are tax-exempt provided such income is put in a reserve fund to be utilized within 5 years for expansion or the construction of new hotels, conference centres, etc. that are useful for tourism development.
