Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for getting Ethical Clearance in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the applicable Ethics Committee.
2. The list of accredited Ethics Committees and their contact details can be found in the following link: committees list
3. Address and contact of the National Health Research Ethics Committee can be found in the following contact link
4. Visit the office as applicable and obtain the application form and other necessary forms to be completed for getting Ethical Clearance from the relevant department.
5. Complete the application form with appropriate information and required details under respective sections.
6. Attach the documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section of this page, with the completed forms.
7. Now, submit a copy of the application package to the Head of the School or any equivalent authority and another copy at the Ethics office.
8. The office will verify and analyse the application form and the attached documents to get an idea about the risk level.
9. Then, it will formulate an applicable track for the application process.
10. Further, the Ethics Committee will assess the submitted information and suggest required modifications in the documents or application.
11. If the suggested modifications are made as required, the application will be approved and the applicant will be notified about the approval through phone or email.
12. Meanwhile, the applicant can also contact the office in which he/she applied for the application status.
