Apply Online

  1. To apply for a Study Permit online, the applicant has to visit the Nigeria Immigration Portal by clicking the following link: apply online
  2. In the page that opens, click the drop-down under ‘Processing Country’ option and select the country that you wish to process your VISA in, then scroll down and click “Start Application” button.
  3. A dialogue message will appear in which you have to click “Acknowledge” button. In the next page you have to select anyone among the email accounts present there and login by entering the user credentials.
  4. Next page will ask for the user details, fill all the fields as applicable and click “Submit” button. A dialogue with a link will pop-up, read the ‘Data Protection Policy’ if required and click “Acknowledge” button.
  5. Then your online application form will get opened. In the first step, you will have to fill the name and other personal details of the applicant, and then upload a passport size photograph. Do as required and click “Next” button.
  6. Correspondingly, complete all the steps by providing the details as required and clicking “Next” button. Finally check the “I ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS FORM” box and click “Submit Application” button.
  7. Applicant details page will be displayed. Check once and click “Proceed to Online Payment” button. In the payments page, click to select Payment Currency “Pay in Dollars” option then Click on “Continue” button.
  8. Complete the payment as applicable for the permit in the payment section by following the on-screen instructions.
  9. In the third tab, you can download and print the successful payment receipt by clicking the applicable option and keep it with you.
  10. After submission of the online application form, make a hard copy of the completed application form and attach it with the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  11. Visit the office of any Nigerian Diplomatic Mission or applicable VISA Application centre in your country with all the required documents and submit it to the relevant authority.
  12. You can also send your application via post to the postal address of the relevant Nigerian Diplomatic Mission.
  13. Further decisions will be made by the officials as applicable and you will be informed about the further tasks to be accomplished as applicable.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any person, who wishes to visit the Republic of Nigeria for the sake of Education, can apply for a Study Permit.
  • The person seeking a Study Permit must possess a Passport with six months validity.

  • Since Subject To Regularization Visa is issued for various purposes like Employment, Education, Research, Service etc., applicants are advised to find and produce the required documents from the list as applicable.
  • Applicants are advised to read out the instructions listed on the screen before clicking “Start Application” button.
  • Applicants can enquire the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Nigerian Immigration Services for contact and address details of a diplomatic mission in his/her country of nationality.
  • If you select a processing country other than Nigeria, your payment will be in US Dollars. You will be re-directed to an approved payment platform to complete your application and make your payment in US Dollars.
