Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall register with the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS).
2. To register on NAQS, please click on the following link: Link
3. On the given page, fill up your details and click on “register”
4. After your account is registered, come back to the log in page, fill up your credentials and click on “login”
5. Once login, follow the instructions and submit an application for Phytosanitary Certificate.
6. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
7. Once the application is accepted and processed, a payment window appears on your screen.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee.
9. The NAQS schedules an inspection; the inspector inspects the shipment destined for export.
10. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
