Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Pharmacists Internship Training Programmein person, a fresh pharmacy graduate must first obtain a Provisional Registration.
  2. To apply for provisional registration, the applicant has to visit the Registrar’s office of PCN and the addresses can be found in the following contact link
  3. Visit the office and obtain the Form F for Provisional Registration from the relevant department.
  4. Complete the application, attach the required documents and submit it to the Registrar. Also, pay the required fees
  5. After all the necessary process, the application will be approved and the applicant will be provisionally registered.
  6. The applicant for an Internship Training Programmeshall at point of induction (oath-taking) obtain a copy of the internship training manual logbook for detailed guidelines.
  7. Further, the applicant should visit the office of the Director of Pharmaceutical Services (DPS) and complete Form F/2 in triplicate for registering with the Internship Training Programme.

  9. Submit the copies of completed form to the DPS who will forward one copy of the form to the Registrar of PCN, keep one for their verification and keep one with the internship centre.

  11. The internee/applicant is expected to undertake practical training in any of the specified areas during the programme.
  12. The internee shall use the log book for keeping record of his work and such record shall be regularly inspected and signed by the Supervising Registered Pharmacist and the Director of Pharmaceutical Services of the State is to complete the DPS comment form.
  13. A representative of the Council shall have the right to inspect the record at any reasonable time, and at the end of the training, the detachable DPS comment form shall be submitted to the Council as evidence of successful completion of programme.
  14. On completion of the practical training, a Certificate of Experience (Form D) shall be signed by the Council recognized Intern Preceptor who shall be in good standing with Council and possess a minimum of 5-years post NYSC working experience.

  • Photocopy of Pharmacist’s Oath (signed by the applicant and the Dean)
  • Statement of Result
  • Two passport photographs of the applicant (authenticated by the Dean)
  • Prescribed fee in Bank Draft (payable to the PCN)
  • Birth Certificate or sworn affidavit of age declaration
  • Completed Form F/2

EligibilityEdit

  • Any fresh pharmacy graduate in Nigeria, who wishes to undergo a compulsory twelve calendar months Internship Programme and practice as a certified pharmacist, can apply.
  • The applicant must ensure that the institution where he wishes to undergo the Internship Training is approved by the council for that purpose.

Every institution approved for Internship Training shall:

  • Be inspected by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria from time to tome to ensure compliance with laid down standards;
  • Furnish such information as may be required by the Council with the personnel, facilities and adequacy of the approved premises for purpose of the pre-registration of internship training.
