Apply Online

  1. To Apply for NUPRC (DPR) License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. The applicant has to enter the register details and click the “Next” button.
  3. Followed by create a password and click the “Register” button.
  4. Now the applicant has to log in with the username and password and click the “Login Now” button.
  5. The applicant has to select the form from the menu list.
  6. Enter all the details in the application form.
  7. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  8. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
  9. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. Then the application will be processed further.
  12. Depending on the nature of the license or permit, the DPR might conduct on-site inspections to verify that the operations or facilities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  13. If the application is approved and the applicant meets all the requirements, the DPR will issue the license or permit.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible to apply for a NUPRC (DPR) License in Nigeria, one must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen or a company incorporated in Nigeria.
  • Have a minimum paid-up capital of NGN100 million for upstream activities and NGN50 million for downstream activities.
  • Have a valid business registration certificate from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • Have a valid tax clearance certificate from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
  • Have a valid certificate of good conduct from the police.
  • Have a valid environmental impact assessment (EIA) report.
  • Have a valid occupational safety and health (OSH) certificate.
  • Have a valid insurance policy for oil and gas operations.
