Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Motor Vehicle Personal Number Plate in person, the applicant has to visit any of the approved centres of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
2. List of approved centres by the FRSC can be found in the following link:Link
3. Visit any of the approved centres and obtain an application form for Motor Vehicle Personal Number Plate from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
6. Once completed filling the application form, attach the required documents with it and submit it in person to the concerned person at the office.
7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
8. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the number plate.
9. When it is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
