- To apply for Maritime Security for Travellersin person, the applicant/foreign traveller has to contact any of the security agencies in Nigeria.
- If the applicant has no idea, he/she can seek assistance from their country’s embassy or consulate in Nigeria.

- Contact the Ministry and obtain information regarding your country’s embassy or representative.
- Visit the embassy office and approach the relevant authority regarding Maritime Security for Travellers and inform them that you are feeling unsafe while travelling inside Nigeria through Nigerian Waters.
- The authority will assist you accordingly and explain the actual scenario of Nigerian crime threats and the dangers that can occur.
- He/she will also advise you regarding the preventive and safety measures that you should follow before preparing for your visit.
- Follow the instructions with utmost care and set out for your journey. The embassy official may also recommend you to hire Maritime security.
- Maritime security can be hired from any private security agency. The embassy official will direct you to such agency.
- You will have to make an application at the agency and pay the required amount of money to hire the security.
- In that case, the applicant will be provided with sophisticated boats with a huge number of weapons.
