Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Frequency Licensing Permit or License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of National Broadcasting Commission.
2. The office addresses of Directorates can be found in the following address
3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Frequency Licensing Permit or License with respect to your requirement from the respective department.
4. You can also find the list of application forms in the “Documents to use” section of this page.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Complete the application form as required with appropriate details and information. Attest the application form with your signature.
7. After completing, attach the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it at the office.
8. On submission, the application will be forwarded to the Department of State Services (DSS) for security clearance.
9. Then, the application would be processed and if found to be in conformity with the requirements of the NBC Act, are recommended to the President, Commander-in-Chief through the Honourable Minister of Information & Culture.
10. When the license document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be sent a notification from the office through email or phone number and the applicant can collect it by themselves or arrange a courier service for collection.
11. After the issue of license, the applicant should pay the applicable license fees as directed to the relevant bank account.

Instructions

• It is important that the completed form must contain all the information required properly and the form must be filled legibly, in order to get accepted by the Authority.
• Make sure that you attach all the required documents as specified by the authority to avoid rejections.
• All forms and documents for submission must be in duplicate copies as one copy would be forwarded to the Department of State Services (DSS) for Security Clearance.
