Procedure

Apply In-person

1. To apply for Film and Video Exhibitor License in person, the applicant must visit the office of National Film and Video Censors' Board.
2. Address and contact details of the NFVCB can be found in the following page: Contact
3. Visit the office and get an application form to apply for a Film and Video Exhibitor License as applicable to your requirement from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
6. Once completed filling the application form, attach the required documents with the application form and submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
8. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the license.
9. When the license document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

• Any person living in Nigeria, who wishes to involve in Film and Video Exhibition inside the Republic, can apply.
• The applying entity can be a National, Regional and Community Exhibitor of Films and Videos.

Instructions

• Applicants are advised to complete the application form neatly and completely with absolute legibility and appropriateness to avoid rejections. Also, all the required documents must be furnished completely.
• Please include your license code (license number) in the Depositor’s name field of the bank deposit slip when paying.
• After payment, scan and email your payment teller to [email protected] Indicate your license code in the subject field of your email and also state the purpose of payment on the body of your email.

Any registered entity inside the Republic of Nigeria that wishes to get into Film and Video Exhibition as an organisational purpose must possess a license obtained from the National Film and Video Censors' Board.
