Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for the Federal Government Scholarship Award online, you should make your application through the portal of the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) of Nigeria by clicking on this link: - Federal Scholarship Board
2. If you are a registered user of the FSB portal, click on the “Existing Applicants Login” button at the top right corner of the FSB page to be directed to the Login page. Enter your registered phone number and email address to log in to your account.
3. You can also click on the “APPLY FOR 2020 / 2021 NIGERIA AWARD SCHOLARSHIP” hyperlink to be directed to the available scholarship page, where you will find the ongoing scholarship applications.
4. Read the provided information and instructions regarding the scholarship and then click on the “APPLY NOW” button to go to the account creation page.
5. Enter the required details and click on the “REGISTER” button and you will be directed to the website tile informing you that your account was successfully created and you should proceed to login.
6. Enter your email address and password and click on the “LOGIN” button to access your account.
7. Once logged in, in your dashboard, you will find details regarding the ongoing scholarships and other notifications. Note that you will have to complete your profile status for you to apply for the FSB scholarship.
8. Click on the “Your Profile” hyperlink to open the drop-box menu and select “Bio Data” to open the Biodata online form.
9. Upload your Passport by clicking the “Choose file” button and provide your complete Bio-data as applicable and click on the “Save” button.
10. After you have completed entering your biodata, proceed and complete your “Parents/Next of Kin” data page by providing the details asked and click on the “Save” button.
11. On the next page, complete the “Current Academic Level” section and click on the “Save” button. Further, upload the scanned copies of vital documents asked for by clicking on the “Choose file” button on the next page.
12. After the required documents, complete the application process and submit the application by following on-screen instructions as applicable and then download the completed application form.
13. Visit the Computer Based Test Centre (CBT) with the downloaded form and hard copies of the supporting documents for an oral interview with the FSB officials.
14. At the CBT the FSB responsible officer will interview you and forward the results to the FSB office for approval.
15. You will then be informed by the FSB through your contact details if the scholarship application results.

Eligibility

Any student in Nigeria who wants to get awarded with Scholarship for studies from the Government can apply. Note that the applying student must satisfy the grade requirement specified for his/her qualification.
