Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for Direct Nigerian Navy Service online, the applicant needs to visit the online recruitment portal of the Direct Short Service Commission by clicking the following link: Link
2. Visit the link and select the applicable option for registering as an applicant. Registration page will open, enter the required fields and click Register button.
3. After registration, log in into the portal using your user credentials provided and enter into the portal.
4. Once logged in, locate the applicable form for getting the online application form which should be completed for obtaining a Direct Nigerian Navy Service.
5. Complete the application form by entering the necessary details asked for. In the opening tab, you may be asked to fill the personal details and click the applicable button.
6. In the next tab, you may have to make choices of particulars for the examination that you are going to attend.
7. After that, you may have to provide the details of your obtained academic qualifications and some of your medical details.
8. Complete the form as required, upload the documents wherever necessary and then make payments as applicable by following on-screen instructions.
9. You will be intimated about the successful application lodgement through email or at that instance itself.
10. After application submission, you will be provided an application reference number for future use.
11. If your application is complete and all the documents are found in order as required by the commission, your application will be approved and you will be notified prior to the examination.

Eligibility

• Any Nigerian, who wishes to acquire an employment in the Nigerian Navy Service, can apply.
• The applicant must have the educational qualification required for the position that he/she seeks.
• The age requirement of the applicant is 18-35 years and he/she must be medically and physically eligible.
• He/she must possess a National Youth Services Corps discharge certificate.
• The applicant must be of good characters, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offenses.
