- To apply for the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) for a post-graduate or undergraduate scholarship, you should make your application through the portal of the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) of Nigeria by clicking on this link: - Federal Scholarship Board
- If you are a registered user of the FSB portal, click on the “Existing Applicants Login” button at the top right corner of the FSB page to be directed to the Login page. Enter your registered phone number and email address to log in to your account.
- You can also click on the “APPLY FOR 2020 / 2021 NIGERIA AWARD SCHOLARSHIP” (or for the year applying for) hyperlink to be directed to the available scholarship page, where you will find the ongoing scholarship applications.
- Read the provided information and instructions regarding the scholarship and then click on the “APPLY NOW” button to go to the account creation page.
- Enter the required details and click on the “REGISTER” button and you will be directed to the website tile informing you that your account was successfully created and you should proceed to login.
- Enter your email address and password and click on the “LOGIN” button to access your account.
- Once logged in, in your dashboard, you will find details regarding the ongoing scholarships and other notifications. Note that you will have to complete your profile status for you to apply for the BEA scholarship.
- Click on the “Your Profile” hyperlink to open the drop-box menu and select “Bio Data” to open the Biodata online form.
- Upload your Passport by clicking the “Choose file” button and provide your complete Bio-data as applicable and click on the “Save” button.
- After you have completed entering your biodata, proceed and complete your “Parents/Next of Kin” data page by providing the details asked and click on the “Save” button.
- On the next page, complete the “Current Academic Level” section and click on the “Save” button. Further, upload the scanned copies of vital documents asked for by clicking on the “Choose file” button on the next page.
- After the required documents, complete the application process and submit the application by following on-screen instructions as applicable and then download the completed application form.
- Visit the Computer Based Test Centre (CBT) with the downloaded form and hard copies of the supporting documents for an oral Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) test.
- The test result will then be processed, and the scores ranked based on merit from highest to the lowest by JAMB for all candidates who applied.
- The results will be forwarded to an Inter-Ministerial Nomination Committee chaired by the FSB director to consider the results from JAMB to obtain a data bank of prospective candidates for consideration of the BEA scholarship based on the standards of the awarding country.
- The committee will then deliberate on suitable candidates to be awarded the BEA scholarship and forward a list of those selected candidates to the respective embassies of the country or countries that offer the scholarship.
- The donor country may also conduct an oral interview for the final selection of the candidates to be offered the BEA scholarship through their embassies.
- If your application is successful and you have been awarded the BEA scholarship, you will be invited for a pre-departure briefing session organized by the FSB where you will be issued with the award letters and all the information and documentation to facilitate your scholarship.
- Note:Application for scholarships is within a specified period of time and you should look out for advertisements of scholarships through electronic and print media.

EligibilityEdit
- For post-graduate scholarship, Nigerian candidates with a Masters’ Degree and First Degree with First Class or at least Second-Class Upper are eligible to apply.
- For undergraduate scholarship, Nigerian candidates who wish to apply for undergraduate degree courses are eligible to apply provided that they meet the course and scholarship requirements.
- You must possess a minimum qualification of Five As or Bs in West African Examination Council (WAEC) May/ June Result including English Language and Mathematics at one seating in subjects relevant to candidates intended field of study for undergraduate scholarship.
- The Age of certificates should not be more than one year for African countries and two years for European countries for undergraduate scholarship.
- The Age limit of the candidates is 18 to 20 years old for undergraduate scholarship.

- You are advised to complete the application form neatly and completely with absolute legibility and appropriateness to avoid rejections. Also, all the required documents must be furnished completely.
- If you are an applicant who was a previous recipient of Foreign Awards under the post-graduate scholarship, you must have completed at least two years post qualification or employment practices in Nigeria and have completed N.Y.S.C. or obtained an Exemption Certificate where applicable and the Age limit is 35 years. Note that your certificate must not be more than 5 years.
