Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Functionality Test for Local Manufacturers in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency.

3. Visit the office with an Application letter or Letter of Intent to obtain the Functionality Test for Local Manufacturers.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Attach the required documents with the letter of application and submit it to the relevant authority at the office.
6. The applicant should also submit three samples of the product to any of the Meter Test Stations at Oshodi-Lagos, Kaduna and Port Harcourt.
7. After successful submission, the applicant must pay the required charges for obtaining the certification.
8. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the agency will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
9. Once all these processes are over and Certificate is ready to be issued, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect it.
