ProcedureEdit

  1. Visit any banking institution nation wide and pay for your passport book i.e passport book for adult is C $ 750. If you have a retirement card, the cost of your passport book will be C $ 375 passport book for over 16 years is C $ 750, passport book for children under 16 is C $ 375.
  2. You will be given your passport bank payment voucher receipt by the bank cashier
  3. Head to the General Directorate of Immigration or one of its departmental offices, present your passport bank payment receipt .To find the nearest Migration office, - click here .
  4. Request and pay the required fee of C$5.00 for the immigration procedure form. Fill the form correctly and attach the required documents and submit them to the office counter.
  5. In the proceedings for minors, parents can present a photograph, which must be passport size, white background, ears and uncovered forehead. If the parents prefer to present themselves with the minor, the window officer will proceed to take the photo.
  6. The attending officer will review and verify the documents and will take the photograph for your passport.
  7. The officer will them issue you with a processing date stamp receipt on when you should collect your passport.

NB.You should came with your original ID card and the processing date stamp receipt when collecting your passport.

ONLINE APPLICATION

  1. Make sure that you have paid all the required fees with the bank for a passport book and you have the receipt before stating the online application.
  2. Visit the state website Online portalenter the online application section.
  3. Register and create a user, once confirmed the registration link the citizen enters the online process and click on the Migration and Aliens logo.
  4. Select new application passport for either adults or minors, fill out the immigration procedure form correctly and submit .
  5. You will receive a notification of confirmation of the request and you will be contacted by the immigration officer when to present yourself in person with the required documents at their headquarters office.

  • A Migration officer can help you fill out the Immigration Procedure Form free of charge.
  • Nicaraguans who reside abroad and do not have a Nicaraguan Identity Card if they carry out their paperwork in the country must submit an original and copy of the corresponding Residence Certificate or Passport of the corresponding country, accompanied by an original and a photocopy of the signed and stamped Colilla de Cedulación. by the CSE.
  • Citizens with dual citizenship who have never had a Nicaraguan identity card, may carry out their paperwork with an identity document of the country where they have a nationality and an identity card. Present original and copy of both.
  • The cost of the passport for retired or retired citizens is C $ 375.00, and must present at the time of processing, original and two photocopies of the INSS card.

  • If the parents are residents abroad and have never had a Nicaraguan identity card, they will be able to complete the procedure with the identity card and their resident card. Present original and copy of both.
  • Parents with dual nationality who have never had a Nicaraguan identity card, can complete the procedure with an identity document of the country where they have a nationality and a certificate application. Present original and copy of both.
  • Adolescents of age of cedulación (16 years), will have to submit cigarette of request of cedula. Original and copy.
  • If the child already has an identity card, present the original and photocopy of the identity document.
