Apply by mail:

  1. To Apply for a Company Tax Clearance Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Canadian Government – Canada Revenue Agency link
  2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office mailing address.
  7. The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page, also the details given in the application form.
  8. The fee detail for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. The CRA will send an acknowledgment letter within 30 days of receiving your request for a clearance certificate.
  12. Once all types of the process get completed successfully, the applicant will get the clearance certificate through the mail.
  13. This entire process takes up to 120 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  • A copy of the trust agreement or document for inter Vivos trusts
  • A detailed statement of distribution of the assets of the trust or the deceased's estate to date
  • A list, description, and the ACB of all assets transferred to a trust as well as the FMV at the date of distribution
  • Any other documents that are necessary to prove that you are the legal representative
  • A copy of the director's or shareholder's resolution confirming the intention to dissolve the corporation and the date of dissolution.
