Procedure

Apply by Mail

1. To apply for a Tobacco Collector Agreement, the applicant will need to mail an application form to the Provincial Tax Commissioner.
2. The applicant will need to submit a tobacco wholesaler license application. The applicant has to download and complete the application form given in the following Link
3. Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
4. Attach all relevant documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Mail the application form to one of the addresses mentioned on the last page of the application form.
6. The fee for this procedure will be intimated by the respective authority
7. Once the application has been signed and approved, the applicant shall receive their license by mail.
8. Once the applicant is licensed, they automatically enter into a Tobacco Collectors Agreement and must pay the tax every month.

6. The fee for this procedure will be intimated by the respective authority

8. Once the applicant is licensed, they automatically enter into a Tobacco Collectors Agreement and must pay the tax every month.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be 19 years of age or above.
• The applicant must sell, offer or sell tobacco for resale.
• When an applicant obtains a license they are appointed as tobacco tax collector.

Fees

• The applicant will need to pay a bond deposit; the minimum amount is 5000$.

Validity

• The Tobacco Wholesaler License needs to be renewed, the expiry date will be mentioned in the license.
