- To apply for Farm Fuel Tax Exemption Certificate in person, the applicant has to visit the Tax Administration Division in the Department of Finance.

- The applicant has to visit the office and obtain a Gasoline and Carbon Tax Exemption Permit application form, from the relevant department or click here to download Application form
- While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section.
- After that, the applicant should attach the required documents with the completed form and submit it to the relevant official.
- Then, the applicant should pay the required fees for the process by visiting the following link and entering the required details: Payment link
- Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
- Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the approved Gasoline and Carbon Tax Exemption Permit.
Apply through email
- To apply for Farm Fuel Tax Exemption Certificate through email, the applicant has to send an email application to the email address of the Tax Administration Division.

EligibilityEdit
- Any Farm producer in Newfoundland and Labrador, that wishes to get exemption from the Farm Fuel Tax, can apply.
- They must be actively and directly farming by controlling farming assets and making the day-to-day management decisions.
- They must have annual farm commodity production worth at least $10,000 or $5,000 to $9,999 if the only other significant sources of income are Canada Pension Plan or Old Age Security.

- Three-year permit: $360.00
