- If you have lost your firearms licence, you must inform the police about the incident by ringing or visiting your nearest police station.
- After you have filed a report, you may now apply for a replacement licence.
- Pay the application fee at any New Zealand PostShop and take the receipt to your nearest police station or Police Arms Office.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A firearm is anything from which any shot, bullet, missile or other projectile can be discharged by force of explosion.
You can use a sporting firearm without a licence if you are under the immediate supervision of a licence holder. 'Immediate supervision' means the licensed person is within reach and can control the firearm. The superviser must not be using another firearm at the same time.
To be able to use a firearm unsupervised you must hold a standard firearms licence.
