Procedure

1. Enroll with your state tax department:
   1. Get a Sales Tax ID: Go to New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
   2. Fill in the appropriate form.
   3. Once you get your sales tax ID, the state will start sending you monthly/quarterly statements.

3. Submit the application form to the Department of Taxation and Finance for your state.
