Procedure

• One has to make police complaint and obtain a FIR for applying duplicate copy in case of the badge is lost or stolen.
• If the badge is damaged, mutilated then, the remains can be submitted for applying duplicate license

Apply In-Person

1. If at any time a Director’s Badge is lost or destroyed or become illegible, one has to apply for the Duplicate Driver badge
   
2. To apply for duplicate Conductor badge in New Delhi the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

5. The applicant should make sure they are eligible by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
   
6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
   
7. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
   
8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   
9. After the verification of documents and relevant queries, Authorities will process their official recordings.
   
10. If the licensing authority is satisfied with your application, issue of duplicate of driver badge completes
    
    

Apply Online (Through Parivahan Portal)

1. To Obtain a Duplicate Driver Badge, the applicant can make the application online via the following link link
2. The applicant has to select the respective state from the drop-down menu.
3. On the next tab, the applicant has to click “Services on Driver’s License(Renewal/Duplicate/AEDL/Others)” and read the instructions and click “Continue”
4. Next the applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Review the application and click “Submit”
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
8. An acknowledgment receipt will be displayed. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
9. Next the applicant should book the slot and visit the office on the respective date.
10. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.

Need for the Document

• The driver of a public service vehicle should display a metal or a plastic badge.
  
• This badge will have authorisation from respective department to drive the vehicle for public use.
  
• No person shall act as a Driver of a public service vehicle unless he holds an effective Driver’s licence and badge issued to him authorising him to act as such.
  
• While having a valid licence, one has to always wear his badge on duty. If the badge is lost or stolen or damaged, then a duplicate badge should be obtained.
  
• No person shall employ or permit any person who is not so licensed to act as a driver of a public service vehicle. So, it is necessary to get a duplicate badge if you lost one
