Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for LADLI Scheme, the applicant has to approach the district offices of Department of Women and Child Development in New Delhi or they can make the application via their respective schools – link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant has to download the application form from the following link – link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
  10. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
  11. Then the application will be forwarded to SBI life insurance company ltd SBIL
  12. Financial arrangements for implementation of this scheme have been made with the SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. and with the State Bank of India.
  13. The amount is sanctioned in the name of the girl child and is deposited with SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (SBIL) which manages the amount till the girl attains the age of 18 years and passes Class-X or takes admission in Class-XII since on attaining the milestone the girl child can claim the maturity amount.
  14. This scheme envisages periodic payments by the Govt. in name of the girl child, would be kept as fixed deposit in her name and redeemed along with accrued interest when the child reaches 18 years of age and has passed the Xth / XIIth class as a regular student.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

  • Girl should be a resident of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
  • Time period of residence should be 3 years before the birth of a child.
  • Annual income should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum.
  • Birth of a girl child should be in Delhi.
  • Registration for Ladli is available within the 1 year for a new born girl child.
  • If the registration of a girl child is not done within 1 year of birth, then she can take the benefit at the school level.
  • Birth certificate issued by registrar (Birth & Death) is mandatory.
  • The Benefit of this scheme can be availed for only 2 girl children in a family.

  • The LADLI Scheme, also known as the Ladli Beti Yojana, is a social welfare program implemented by the Government of India. It was introduced to promote the welfare and education of girl children in the country and to address gender discrimination and female foeticide.

Pattern of Financial Assistance
Under the scheme financial assistance in the name of eligible girls is sanctioned at the following stages:

  • For Institutional Delivery - 11000/- (provided the girl is born in the last one year)
  • For Delivery at Home - 10000/- (provided the girl is born in the last one year)
  • On admission in Class I - 5000/-
  • On admission in Class VI - 5000/-
  • On admission in Class IX - 5000/-
  • On passing Class X - 5000/-
  • On admission in Class XII - 5000/-


Maturity amount at the end of lock-in-period will vary depending on the stage at which each girl child enters the scheme and registers under it.
