  • Farmer widow pension is a State scheme under which wives (widow) of farmers who have committed suicide or died in accidents get a monthly pension.
  • It is a routine job of local revenue authorities to identify the beneficiaries for this scheme by conducting ward Sabah / Gram Sabah / through camps at regular intervals.


Apply In-Person:

  1. In order to apply for “Farmer Widow Pension” scheme, the applicant has to approach the nearest office of the Deputy Commissioner / Tahsildar / BDO / Circle officer of the revenue department as appropriate.

In the given page scroll down to the bottom and select “Key Contacts” option to reach a new page. Here please select “Zonal offices” menu and select the sub option for contact details AND Panchayat contact link in the given page please select the hyper link against respective state as per requirement for contact details.
  3. Go to the respective office and contact the designated authority or the Social Security & Pensions section (under the revenue department).
  4. Consult with the designated authority about the applying procedure for this certificate. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
  5. Complete the application form. Attach the entire required document as per our “Required Documents” section and submit it to the designated receiving authority.
  6. After receiving the application, authorities will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted. Please pay the fees/charges if applicable and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. Authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using the computer.
  8. Acknowledgement receipt will be given against the accepted application form. Please collect it and keep it safe for future reference.
  9. Applicant will be informed of the probable date of getting approval for the scheme.
  10. This application will be processed further. Concerned authorities will verify the applicant’s details and documents.
  11. After verification, this application will be forwarded to the concerned officer / designated authority for ground level scrutiny.
  12. A report will be created after verification and the due diligence of the applicant through field verification.
  13. This report will be sent back to the issuing authority.
  14. Based on the outcome of the above report and other internal processing, the tahsildar / the designated authority will certify the application.
  15. This certified / authenticated application will be forwarded to the respective issuing department for sanction of this scheme.
  16. Once the sanction is granted, it will be sent back to the tahsildar / the designated authority.
  17. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
  18. Once approved, the pensioner will be eligible to get the pension from the first week of next month onwards (or as per sanctioned period) Based on the availability of funds.
  19. Applicant shall revisit the office where they applied for an update on their application.


Note:
  • Applicant has to bring original documents to the applying office while applying for cross verification purpose and scanning if required.
  • Without cross signature on photograph and signature on the undertaking, the application will be rejected.
  • Applicant may be asked to apply with the specific format as advised by the respective benefit providing government departments.


Apply Online

  1. To Apply for Farmer Widow Pension, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link link
  2. If the applicant is a new user they can click “New User” menu and register their account. If the applicant is the existing user they can click “Registered Users Login” and login with user id and password.
  3. Next the applicant has to select the service and enter all necessary details in the application form.
  4. The applicant has to upload all the required documents that are mentioned in required documents section of this page.
  5. Review the application and click “submit”. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
  9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
  10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the pension.
  11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.



Apply Through CSC

  1. To Apply for Farmer Widow Pension the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
    • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
  2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
  3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
  4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
  7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
  8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Applicant should be the resident of the respective State (Number of year limitation vary from State to State).
  • Wives of farmers who have committed suicide are eligible to apply.
  • The age of the applicant should be 18 years and above.
  • The beneficiary should not be enrolled in any other social security pension scheme or should not be a pensioner in any of the public or private pension schemes.
  • The beneficiary should not be earning more than Rs. 1.5 Lakh (or the amount fixed by respective State) annually in rural areas and Rs. 2.0 Lakh (or the amount fixed by respective State) in urban areas.

  • Any wrongful identification and certification of beneficiaries shall attract severe disciplinary action against the concerned.
  • Do not submit fake documents as proof to get sanction.
  • Incomplete application will be rejected.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
