Through Enrolment Centres :

  1. Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
  2. Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment: link for appointment
  3. With / without online appointment, go to the centre as located with required documents.
  4. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  5. Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
  6. Please follow their guidelines for processing your request.
  7. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
  8. Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.



Apply Online:
‘’If you have lost your AADHAAR card Enrolment ID and don't know your AADHAAR number, you can download AADHAAR card by following these steps below :’’

  1. To Apply for (Lost, Damaged, Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card, the applicant has to book an appointment through online by using this link – link
  2. The applicant has to select the city/location and click the “Book Appointment” button.
  3. The applicant has to enter the mobile number in the new page, enter the captcha and click the “Generate OTP button”.
  4. The applicant will get the OTP in the given mobile number, enter the OTP and click the “Verification” button.
  5. The applicant has to enter the appointment details and click the “Next” button.
  6. Enter the personal details and click the “Next” button.
  7. After completing the details, the applicant has to book the time slot and pay the required amount of fee in online mode.
  8. Once completed, click the “Submit” button.
  9. The applicant can visit the centre on the booked time slot for apply the Aadhar card (UID).



Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for (Lost, Damaged, Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card the applicant has to approach nearby Aadhar enrolment centre link
    • Note. The applicant has to select their, state, district, city to locate nearby centre.
  2. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  3. Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
  4. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
  5. Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.
  6. The applicant will receive a new Aadhaar via post.



Apply Through Mobile App

  1. To Apply for (Lost, Damaged, Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card, the applicant must download the UIDAI mobile app
  2. The applicant can download the app from play store using the following Link: Link
  3. To start the application the applicant has to enter their mobile number and OTP.
  4. Next the applicant has to click “Book an Appointment” menu.
  5. The page is redirected, provide your mobile number and enter the “Captcha”.
  6. Once the details are entered, click “Generate OTP” button.
  7. Now enter the “OTP Number” and click “Verify OTP” button.
  8. After OTP verification enter your Aadhar card number, personal details and fix your time in the time slot for appointment and review your appointment details.
  9. The applicant needs to Pay rupees 50 INR online for appointment.
  10. It is mandatory to bring the copy of the appointment order during the appointment.

  • Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
