EligibilityEdit
Must be 18 years of age or older and a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada as defined in the federal Immigration Act. First-time applicants must successfully complete the guide exam at a DNR office.
FeesEdit
Guide I License: $25.00
Replacement License: $5.25

ValidityEdit
Guide Licenses expire on December 31 each year.

InstructionsEdit
- A guide may guide up to 3 clients at one time but cannot hunt or fish while guiding. An exception and special rules apply to guides who wish to fish for a client. Special rules also apply to guides when accompanying clients who choose to fish from a boat.

Need for the DocumentEdit
As a general rule, the NB Fish and Wildlife Act requires that non-residents must be accompanied by a licensed guide to hunt game species or to fish for Atlantic Salmon. A Guide I License may be issued to a person who intends to charge a fee or reward for their guiding service.
