Apply In-Person:
- Approach the service new Brunswick centre.
- The applicant can find the nearest center here service New Brunswick
- The applicant will have to get a photograph taken.
- The applicant will have to give a written test.
- After 24 months, the applicant is eligible for a class 5 GDL license on a probationary basis, follow these steps to apply:
- Schedule a test with the nearest driving school.
- The agent will inform you of the documents that are needed.
- The applicant will have to pass a vision test.
- The applicant will have to give a driver’s test.
- Once the applicant passes these tests, they can buy the license card.
- The applicant will be given a temporary license card until the card arrives through mail.
- Destroy the temporary card once the license card arrives through mail.
- After a period of two years and without any suspensions, the applicant can apply for a Class 5 Graduated drivers license, to apply, follow these steps:
- Schedule a test with the nearest driving school.
- The school will inform you of the documents that are needed.
- The applicant will have to pass a vision test.
- The applicant will have to give a driver’s test.
- Once the applicant passes these tests, they can buy the license card.
- The applicant will be given a temporary license card until the card arrives through mail.

- Two documents from the list of Acceptable Proof of New Brunswick residency list
- proof of name change if applicable (i.e. marriage certificate, divorce papers, or Certificate of Name Change).

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant may apply for a Class 9 driver's licence at age 14 with parental consent.
- The applicant may apply for a Class 8 driver's licence at age 14 with parental consent.
- The applicant may apply for a Class 6 driver's licence at age 16 with parental consent.
- A person must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a Class 4, Class 3/4, Class 2, or Class 1 licence and have completed the Graduated License Program.
