Nepal - Get Pollution Clearance Certificate for Vehicle (Green Sticker)

Procedure

1. Get the application form from
2. Fill out the form and attach it with a postal stamp of NRS 10
3. Show photocopy of vehicle registration documents and previous green sticker card
4. Take vehicle to the pollution measurement center in Ekantakuna, located near the transport department
5. An officer there will check the vehicle's pollution level
6. Pay the amount (stated above)
7. Receive the certified papers and green sticker

Need for the Document

A green sticker is a means of controlling air pollution. All four-wheeler vehicles - private and public - must get the sticker before they can be on the roads. This is given to the vehicles that passes the pollution test that is offered by transport department. The test is conducted by measuring the amount and quality of smoke produced by a vehicle.
