Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. You have to approach the Department of Transport Management in your local area to apply for driver license. You can find the address locations near to your area under heading Office Locations & Contacts of this page. You should be there around early as possible, to get things done.
2. You have to get 2 forms from the counter. A driver license renewal form and a medical test form. Each probably cost 5 rupees.
3. Fill up both the application forms and stick one of your photo in the driver license application form.
4. Next you will have to approach to the Medical test where you might have to pay Rs. 10 for medical test. Here you will be tested for colur blindness, you could take a sample colour blindness test using the following link : Colour Blindness Test
5. After the medical test you will have to take a written test which you have to clear the test. You might me request for your Citizenship copy, Exam fee receipt and admit card during this stage. You can check the written test result in the following link : Driver License Written Test Results
6. After you have cleared your written test you will have to take a practical test where you have to drive and vehicle and the authorities should be satisfied with your driving.
7. If you have cleared your pratical driving test you will have to go to the Department of Transport Management after a week, take 2 photos (auto and passport), glue stick, pen, stamp (available there but just in case), photocopy of your citizenship, photocopy of your license (if you are adding up category), admit card and again stay on the line (Submit you Admit card, Check the printed Card, attach photo, and then you will get your license)
8. You will get your Nepal driver license for next 5 years.

Eligibility

You should not be disqualified due to the following reasons.

• Large vehicles for the people of age 21 and over
• Medium and small vehicles for 18 years.
• Motararsaikala and other small 2-wheelers in terms of 16 incidents have lacked.
• If a person has epileptic or insane or a sudden giddiness, nausea or faint to be kind disease he would be dis qualified.
• If your eye sight power is weak in glasses when using the normal way to see the power fit person.
• Common alarm signal, the voice too, as a deaf person.
• Red, green, yellow, etc., coloured immediately discern ( Colour Blind), the individual vision.
• Of the person multivitamins.
