Nepal - Apply or Obtain Indigenous Card
ProcedureEdit
- To apply for the indigenous card the applicant has to register with the indigenous group office that the applicant belong to. For eg: If you are Newar you need to register your name in the office called Newa daboo located in Dallu, Kathmandu, Nepal. Now Newa dey daboo is located at Teku, Kathmandu
- After you registered your name in indigenous group office you get an application which you need to submit to the main office of indigenous group called National foundation for development of indigenous nationalities.
- Before submitting the application the signature of the section officer need to be obtained.
- After submitting the application, please follow the instructions provided by the authorities.
- Despite your permanent residence being somewhere else, you can make it from Kathmandu without requirement of recommendation from your district.

- Photocopy of Citizenship/ birth certificate
- Photocopy of Mark sheet of your completion of school level, high school level +(any recent completion of academic qualification.
- Photocopy of citizenship of your parents.
- Your recent auto / passport size photo at least carry 4 copies each

Any people having birth certificate/ citizenship issued by Nepal government belonging to indigenous group can apply for this card.
FeesEdit
200 rupees in respective janajati office.
Another 200 in aadibasi janajait uthan rastriye pratisthan office
ValidityEdit
This card is valid for your lifetime.

Processing TimeEdit
It won't take much time you just need to get the application and provide to the head office and your card is made but you have to make sure to complete your work within the office hour (10-1) and working days (Monday Friday)
