Procedure

1. To apply for old age allowance, the applicant has to contact the local municipal office. List of Municipal Offices
2. You should apply within Mangsir 1st to 15 for the process.
3. With all the documents including an application letter go to Ward Office.
4. Then the ward will write a recommendation letter to Municipality.
   
   

Internal Process (government process) :

1. Municipality will send officials to investigate. The decision of whether giving allowance or not will be in the hand of municipality.
2. The list of people on which municipality decides to give allowance will go to Ministry.
3. Then the municipality will send the person's file and inform ward to give allowance to the person.
4. The allowance will start to come for the elderly people. Note: The person himself has to go to Banijya Bank to receive the allowance

• A copy of citizenship.
• An application form.
• A copy of migration registration for those who have migrated.
• Two copies of passport sized photos.
• Application format for old age allowance will be available in the office.
• In case of citizenship older than 2034, one must show Voters' Identity Card

Note : Application form can be obtained from ward office located in your ward. Citizenship can be obtained from the district admission office of your birth place.
