- To apply for good standing certificate in Medical council, please visit the corresponding State Medical Council office. The address and contact details of the office can be found in the following Contact Link.
- Visit the Office and get the application form for Good standing certificate from the relevant department or you can download the form from the following Application form link
- Please fill the application form with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned with the application form.
- Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please collect the acknowledgement slip for the paid fee. Keep it safe for future reference.
- Your application and attached documents will be sent for verification to check, if there is any discrepancy.
- After all the processes are completed, The National Medical Commission (Medical Council of India) will approve the application and proceed with the Certificate issuance process.
- Once the certificate is ready to be collected, office will inform the applicant through registered email id and the certificates would be sent by registered post/ speed post.

- To apply for Good standing Certificate in Medical Council Please visit the following National Medical Council Login link.
- On the opened site please login with your login credentials if you are already a user or you can register as a new user by clicking on “Register here” option.
- After successful login, please click on the option “Good Standing (CGS) from MCI”.
- On the opened page, please fill the required information & upload scanned documents.
- Please check all the information provided and click on “Save & proceed” option.
- On the opened page, Please pay the required Fee and save the transaction id for future use.
- Now check once and click on “Submit”.
- On verification of Documents, communication will be sent to your registered mail Id to choose your Appointment date.
- Visit the State Medical Council in appointment date with all Original Documents to submit.
- Your application and the corresponding documents will be subjected to the necessary verifications and forwarded to the Medical Council of India.
- After successful verification of documents by the NMC (MCI), the certificate for Good standing (CGS) would be sent by registered post/ speed post the certificate will be sent to your registered mail id.

EligibilityEdit
- The candidate must have a permanent registration number registered with Medical council of India.
FeesEdit
- Non refundable application fee of Rs.2000/- (rupees two thousand only) + 18% GST by a bank draft in favour of “The secretary, Medical council of India, New Delhi”, payable at New Delhi. On reverse of the draft, following details to be filled by the applicant and duly signed: -
- Name
- Father’s Name
- Purpose for which the draft submitted
- Telephone No with Code/Mobile No.
- Name
- If the certificate has to be sent abroad by courier or by fax to the foreign council/country then the fee would be $100 or equivalent in Indian currency.
ValidityEdit
- The certificate of good standing issued by the Medical council of India will be valid up to six months from the date of issue.

- Please submit the application to the concerned authority with the required documents attached.
- Kindly pay the required amount for the application process while submitting the application form at the office.
- The candidates are requested to ensure that the documents be enclosed as per the order in the Checklist. All papers/documents should be numbered according to the checklist. You can find the checklist in the following Application form link (Refer page4).

- Any person who wishes to get a Good standing certificate from Medical council must apply for the Certificate of Good standing from Medical council. The Applicant shall approach the State medical council and send the application through the Registrar of state medical council to the National medical council of India (NMC).

- The application is to be forwarded to this office through the registrar of the state medical council with whom the person concerned is registered.
- In case he is registered with more than one state medical council then he should give all the registration numbers, with dates and the name of the state medical councils, but forward his application through the registrar of one of the medical councils.
- Applicant is advised to retain copy of his application and draft for future reference
