Procedure

1. Driver license related activities are handled by National Institute of Roads (INAV / INATTER), Please get in touch with the local offices of National Institute of Roads, they should be able to help you in getting it done.
2. You will be required to complete a theoretical exam, probably in Portuguese.
3. Also, make sure you have the list of documents that has been listed under the Required Documents section of this page.

• Passport
• Four Passport Size Photograph
• Certified Copy of Foreign Driver License
• An official letter from the embassy of your country which should be Portuguese.
