Procedure

• Take a drivers education course.
  • Enroll on a State approved Traffic Program or if you are 16 years or older,you can take a Supplemental Education course.
• Prepare for the test.
  • read and study the Montana Driver License manual
• Locate a Driver exam station: You can call ahead in the office so that you will know your designated exam station .Customer Service Center: (866) 444-3933
• Make preparations for the test day.
• Call ahead to ask about immediate queries
  • Bring the required documents for filing.
• Pay your fees at your local County Treasurer Motor Vehicle Office.

Eligibility

Younger than 16 years old- enrolled in a State approved traffic program.

16 years and older- Not necessary to enrol in a State approved traffic program. But as a supplementary, may take a supplemental education course.

Fees

Drivers 21 and older : $40.50
Drivers 18 years old - $15.50
Drivers 19 years old - $10.50
Drivers 20 years old- $5.50

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
e.g. Birth Certificate Valid Forever
