Monaco - Obtain a Birth Certificate
ProcedureEdit
- To request for a copy of the birth certificate, please go to the State Civil Service, present your identity card and pay for the certificate.
- If you are unable to obtain the birth certificate yourself, you may assign somebody else to apply for the procedure for you, by writing a proxy statement and providing all needed documents.
- You may also send your request by post. You will need to indicate your name, and your birthday. Do not forget to include a return address where you would like the certificate to be sent. All request must be accompanied by a check payable to "Monsieur le Receveur Municipal". The amount to be paid would depend on the number of certificates being requested (1.00 per certificate plus postage).

- The identity card of the person (must be an adult) who will be applying for the procedure on your behalf

EligibilityEdit
You may obtain a birth certificate of a person born in Monaco or a Monegasque national born abroad and whose birth is included in the civil register of Monaco.
FeesEdit
Number of certificates being obtained: Total cost = payment for the certificate(s) + postage:
- 1 certificate: 1.66
- 2 certificates: 2.66
- 3 certificates: 4.10
- 4 certificates: 5.10
- 5 certificates: 6.10
- 6 certificates or more: call the State Civil Service to inquire about the price
Note: Please contact the State Civil Service to inquire about request coming from outside France.

A Birth Certificate states the name and sex of a person, it also indicate the time and place of birth, it is issued after you have registered the birth of a child.
