ProcedureEdit
- Gather all documents that you will need to present/submit in order to an education allowance.
- Submit your application along with all required documents to the Department of Budget and Treasury, accompanied by your civil servant (or government official) ID.

Required DocumentsEdit
- Civil servant or official government ID
- For individuals who are married:
- A copy of your payslip for December, in which the year-to-date net taxable income of the spouse or other member of the household is detailed
- Or, if a copy of the payslip is unavailable, a certificate prepared by their employer specifying the net income made from 1 January to 31 December
- For individuals who are divorced or separated: monthly amount of maintenance allowances collected or provided to the former spouse
- For temporary government officials who do not have two years of seniority and whose spouse (or the individual with whom they cohabit) does not (or no longer) exercises paid activities, a sworn certificate which confirms these circumstances is required
- For civil servants or government officials who either collect the Prime au foyer or the Soutien de famille allowance are not, under any circumstances, required to provide any document.

EligibilityEdit
Civil servants or government officials, who are heads of households (who are either working or retired), may apply to obtain an education allowance:
- If they have dependent children under the age of 21
- If they are registered for the academic year in a primary, secondary or higher education establishment
Condition:
- They must be registered with the State Medical Benefits Office
- They have collected family allowances:
- Either during the seven months stretching between 1 September and 31 August, OR
- During one of the months between September and December
