a. Apply online - Moldova Obtain a Police Clearance Certificate Online with Images
  1. In order to apply for PCC online, applicant has to reach the online portal: link
  2. In the given page, please hit “Request the service” session.
  3. In the given page, please follow the page prompt and hit the “next step” tab at the bottom to reach next page.
  4. Please follow the page prompt and hit respective option to complete the online process for further processing.
  5. Once the certificate is generated, applicant gets notification and the certificate will be delivered as per applicable norms.


Applying process in Moldova for citizen and non citizen.

a. Apply In-Person
  1. PCC can be applied in-person as per below contact details.

  2. At the Victoriabank branch - according to the work schedule
  3. At the QIWI payment terminals (24/24 hours, 7 days a week)
  4. At the MIA Information Technology Service (if the applicant does not have IDNP) - Monday-Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (lunch break 12: 00-12: 30)
  5. Application forms can be obtained from the respective office on your visit.
  6. Go to the respective office. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.
  7. Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents.
  8. Applicant should pay for any charges if required as advised.
  9. This application will be processed by respective department.
  10. The certificate can be collected from the office where applicant applied in-person or will be delivered through mail upon notification or issued as per norms.


Applying process – overseas for citizen and non citizen

a. Apply through mail(post)
  1. Applicant has to apply with the “Ministry of Interior” to obtain the PCC through mail(post).
  2. Please attach the completed application, required document and fee paid details.
  3. Mail(post) these set of documents to:

  4. This application received will be processed by respective department.

b. Apply through representative
  1. Applicant shall apply through a relative who lives in Moldova to apply on their behalf at the department of justice.
  2. The mandated person should be entrusted with the notarized Power of Attorney letter.

C. Apply through embassy or consulate in-person

  3. Call the office and fix appointment for personal visit. Also find out the details for this procedure.
  4. On the scheduled date, go to the office with all the document in original and in copy. Please follow as per officer guidelines to process your application.
  5. This application will be processed by the respective department. The completed certificates are forwarded to the concern.
  6. Applicant shall collect the certificate with the respective office upon notification or can get it delivered as per norms applicable.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
  • Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
  • The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
  • Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

You need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence.

Police clearance (Good Conduct) Certificate is an important document which serves as a proof that the person has no criminal record or previously involved in criminal, breach of trust cases or violation of law both in his home country and during his residence in Moldova. Both locals and expats are supposed to obtain this certificate.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A police certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings.

Police certificate is also known as good citizen certificate, good conduct certificate, police clearance certificate, or judicial record extracts. Applicants may have to submit fingerprints and certain personal information to request a criminal record check, and the police or government agency may charge a fee. If no record found, the police certificate will indicate such.

A police clearance certificate is a copy of your criminal record or a declaration of the absence of any criminal record. Police clearance certificates are different in each country and territory and may be called police certificates, good conduct certificates, judicial record extracts, pcc, etc. They are issued by police authorities or government departments and used by Citizenship and Immigration to prevent individuals who possess a risk to Country's security from entering the country.

It is the applicants responsibility to contact the relevant authorities to obtain the necessary police certificates or clearances. Each countrys procedures are different. Applicants may have to apply to more than one level of government or more than one agency - municipal, provincial, state, federal and the police, courts or similar governmental agencies for the police certificate. If a police certificate cannot be obtained from any of the countries on the list, provide a written explanation why and an original letter from the police authority confirming that it will not issue a certificate.
