Moldova - Apply for a passport

The application for issuance of passport must be submitted personally by the applicant, in writing, at any polling (office) records and documentation of population in the country and overseas diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic of Moldova. When submitting the application for the passport holder identifies and facial image is taken and subjected to fingerprinting procedure. Persons for whom fingerprinting is physically impossible (permanent or temporary) and children aged under 12 years are exempt from the mandatory inclusion of fingerprints in passports. registration certificate of the child in a specialized institution;

the identity of the representative of the true internal use;
the identity of the person represented true internal use;

Emigration authorizedEdit

Moldovan citizens residing or staying in Moldova, requesting authorization emigration country to submit its application in subdivisions SE "SIRC" Register "and foreign diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic of Moldova. Authorization application for emigration are examined period of up to three months. passport applicant who may submit an application for his release, along with the request for authorization of emigration.

passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova;

In case of such obligations, the statement must follow and agreement of the emigration of the applicant;
notarized statement to the other parent of the minor, who remains domiciled or resident in the Republic of Moldova with it, showing clear lack of legal obligations unfulfilled by the applicant to the minor. In case of such obligations should follow the declaration and agreement of the applicant's parent emigration;
notarized statement to the other parent of the minor showing minor immigration agreement with the applicant, if the declarant remains domiciled or resident in the Republic of Moldova;
notarized statement of the minor aged between 10 and 18 years, who emigrate to one of the parents, the immigration agreement with the parent in question;
notarized statement of the legal representative of the minor or person placed under guardianship or trusteeship, which remains domiciled or resident in the Republic of Moldova, showing that the agreement represented another person's immigration legal representative established residing abroad. In this case the statement is presented showing that the legal representative of the minor grants establishing housing and maintenance. If the legal representative is additionally present other than parents guardianship authority's decision;

InstructionsEdit

The passport is issued by the State Enterprise and Information Resources Centre "Registru" and by Moldovan foreign representations abroad.
Moldovan citizens have the possibility to hold two passports simultaneously, providing a written request has been submitted to local passport office. Provided that the holder of these data will be identical.
If fingerprinting is temporarily impossible passport is issued within 12 months.
Moldova shall be issued exclusively biometric passports (fingerprints, blood type, digital photography) and parents' passports not include data on children.
Minors and persons placed under guardianship or trusteeship, as an applicant for passport issuance acting legal representative, provided the obligatory presence of the person represented.
For children without parental care or Dependents State application is filed, respectively, by the guardianship authority or government institution.
If the individual assets and for which fingerprinting is not required or is impossible, application may be made by a representative.
The competent authority has the right to ask the applicant additional documentation if the set is not enough to establish legal status, identity, marital status and the existence of restrictions on the issuance of passport by law.
