Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach the FSM Department of Resources and Development. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Application form to the FSM Department of Resources and Development
3. Application form can be found on the following link: Link scroll down and click on “Application for import and export of live animals.”
4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant shall present the duly filled application form and documents to the FSM Department of Resources and Development. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
7. After the application is accepted and confirmed, the Plant Protection Department notifies the applicant.
8. The Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
9. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
