- To Registration of Alienation of Parcel Rights (Sale of Parcels), the applicant has to approach the Registro Agrario Nacional. link
- Prepare the necessary legal documents, such as a notarized sale agreement or deed, that evidence the transfer of rights to the agrarian parcel.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Obtain the seller's agrarian certificate or document that proves their rights to the parcel and the authority to sell it.
- Confirm that the parcel in question is an agrarian parcel subject to the jurisdiction of the agrarian authorities.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- After the registration is complete, the RAN will issue an updated parcel certificate reflecting the change in ownership due to the sale.
- Inform the relevant authorities about the sale of the parcel, including the Tax Administration Service (Servicio de Administración Tributaria, SAT), to update tax and ownership records.
- This entire process can be completed within 4 – 5 weeks or per the timeline the respective department authority advised.
