1. To Apply for Modification of Authorization to Start Construction, the applicant has to approach the Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales. link
2. The applicant has to visit the office with the request letter.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. Then the application will be processed further.
11. They may conduct site visits, consultations, or additional assessments as necessary to evaluate the impact of the modifications.
12. Based on the review and assessment, the competent authority will make a decision regarding the applicant’s modification request.
13. If approved, they will issue an updated authorization reflecting the approved modifications.
14. This updated authorization will outline any conditions, requirements, or stipulations associated with the modifications.
15. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
